"Making Stuff For Kids" a craft book for kids from Black Dog Publishing celebrates crafting and is a great way to improve your child's imagination and dexterity... Thank god I can take a break from my 1969 "Things to make and do" encylopedia..
Happily searching for vintage kids swimmers I stumbled again across Emmas Design Blog. I seem to find myself hanging around there alot lately.. Had to post this little story on Anne Black's Copenhagen's home. Love the use of the Leander cradle...Sadly when mine were rocking in their cradles Leander wasn't even heard of here in Australia. www.anneblack.dk www.leanderform.dk
I love the simple yet beautiful message the girls at DandyStar are making. With still no stockists here in Australia these fantastic hand -dyed and printed tee's are only available at their online shop.. Im all for SHINE... www.dandystar.com
After seeing the Clare Nicolson's birdies on the Vintage for Kids I have been back and had a look on her gorgeous site. I stocked Clare quite a while ago in the shop and we have a yummy lavender birdie in the kids room. It always makes me smile. Great to revisit such a girlie cute product! www.clarenicolson.com
Sadly this site is in Dutch so I don't have much to tell you except I am always looking back for updates. I love the look of the furniture..If only I could better understand what they do... www.vintageforkids.com
So hard not to love everything this amazing woman does... What I love most about looking on her site is there's bits for me and for the kids... Beautiful.. www.lauranormandin.com
When I had my little childrens's store I was stocking these beautiful butterfly hair-clips by Tout Silo. They are all handmade from Liberty print fabrics in France - so beautiful. Check out here store and blog http://toutsilo.canalblog.com/
Strangely my new love (apart from those gypsy caravans) is photograpghy.. My only problem is I than imagine them as children's shoots and get so disappointed at the lack of really good visual magazines available here in Australia for kids...
My kids aren't little toddlers anymore and I am constantly frustrated by the lack of clothes there is around for ages 7- 14. Thankfully there is always Antik Batik.. I can only seem to find it on Little Fashion Gallery as her site is still not up.. Silk kaftans - chunky knits ..awesome..
I know this doesn't really relate to children but -with my baby off to Kindergarten in 3 weeks I am pondering all the things I have been waiting years for.....
Happily I could pack us up and off to France to live in one of these amazing caravans...
